Sheila R. Turner, a woman of profound faith, boundless love, and a nurturing spirit, peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At 54 years of age, Sheila leaves behind a legacy defined by her devotion to her family and her lifelong commitment to caring for others.

Born in Racine, Wisconsin, on June 29, 1971, Sheila was the beloved daughter of Deborah Herron and the late Johnny Fair. After graduating from Park High School and attending Gateway Technical College for early childhood education, she followed her natural calling as a caregiver. For many years, she was a cornerstone of her community, working in daycare centers and group homes where she provided stability and love to countless individuals. Sheila was a provider in the truest sense; her home and her heart were always open to any child in need of a watchful eye or a mother's touch. Sheila was a proud member of Shekinah Glory Family Worship Center of Racine.

To Sheila, her family was her entire world. She took extraordinary pride in her grandchildren, making it her mission to express her love for them at every opportunity. She found great joy in life's simple pleasures, whether it was a quiet moment with her favorite shows, the familiar comfort of sunflower seeds, or a cold Mountain Dew or Sprite. Her presence was as vibrant and warm as her favorite color, pink, and she will be remembered as a woman who poured everything she had into the people she loved.

Sheila's memory will be forever cherished by her mother, Deborah Herron, and her three children, Mark Bell, Brittney Geater, and Paul Satterwhite.  She is also survived by her siblings, Joseph L. Fair, Shawn (Bessie) Fair, Joy Fair. Her greatest treasures were her grandchildren, who will carry her spirit forward: Mark Garcia, Mah'Khye Warren, Jayce Burch, MaKenzie Garcia, Briella Neal, Kashton Neal, Lilliana Pilot, Ky'Aire Geater. She is further survived by her aunts and uncles, Kathryn and Roosevelt Cobb, Darrell White, Betty Jones, Greg White, Carmen White and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who were all dear to her heart. Sheila was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Fair; her grandmother, Lottie White; her grandfather, Willie White; her God Brother, Joenathan Gholston Jr.; her uncles, Larry White and Bobby Fair; and her aunts, Loreta Fair-Shells, and Special Friends: Dianne Ivory and Rhonda Flowers

Service Details

A Homegoing Celebration will be held for Sheila at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 10:00AM until the time of service.
