Born to Arlene Marie (nee: Biesack) Wasik in Columbus Georgia, Sheila was raised in Racine, WI and attended elementary schools in Racine and graduated from Park High School. After high school graduation, Sheila worked various jobs until taking courses through Gateway Technical Institute that would help her land a job with Racine County. She worked for Racine County as an administrative clerk until she became disabled.

Prior to her disability she loved her dog Bocephus and going on long motorcycle rides. She was free-minded and strong-willed but was extremely devoted to her family.

After her disability prevented her from riding motorcycles, she would jump in her car and take scenic joy rides, sometimes calling a friend or family member and stopping by and just shooting the breeze, hanging with the kids.

She loved animals and would house sit slash pet sit for family and friends when those family or friends would travel out of town. The animals loved having her over as much as she loved spoiling them.

She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart and soul. Her disabilities kept her from attending a church, but she wore her faith in her ringtones, in the worship music she listened to, her favorite scriptures in her notebooks, and in her encouraging comments. Her favorite symbol or picture of butterflies reminded all that there is new life in Christ.

She is survived by her sister, Lori (nee: Wasik) Casaletti; her brother, Charles and Linda (nee: Buri) Wasik) all from Racine; nieces, Tina Wasik, Texas, Darnell and Niece Melissa Hoaglund of Racine; nephews, Aaron and Meg (nee McCollough) Wasik of Kingston, GA, Jonathan Wasik of Racine, niece, Johanna Wasik, Racine, nephew, Seargeant Cyris Wasik USMC Okinawa, Japan and special great nephew, Gideon Wasik, Racine. She also is survived by great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and many wonderful, dear friends and former co-workers.

She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Robert Casaletti; sister, Jetrina Wasik; nephew, Jordan Wasik; aunt, Carol Reilly, brother, Timothy Wasik, Sr.; nephew, Timothy Wasik Jr; uncle, James Reilly; mother, Arlene Wasik; grandmother; Norma Biesack; grandfather, Russell Biesack; and uncle, Marvin Biesack.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory for a visitation from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm with her brother, Chuck Wasik officiating.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been created for set up for Sheila’s special great special nephew Gideon Wasik. All cash donations will be put into a college trust fund.
