Shirley Diane Simon

Service Details

A private family celebration of her life will take place in the future. 

   RACINE – Mrs. Shirley D. Simon, 79, passed away at Ascension All Saints on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

   She was born in Kenosha on August 7, 1946, the daughter of the late Glen and Genevieve (nee Dzibinski) Sapp.

   Shirley married Gerald P. Simon on March 17, 1982.

   She worked as a machine operator for GS Electric and Frederick Manufacturing.  She also worked at the Eagles Club in Racine prior to her retirement.  Shirley served as Past Madam President of the Eagles Club and enjoyed reading in her quiet time.

   Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Simon; her son, Michael (Ruth) Simon; her stepdaughters, Jessica (Mike) Smith and Christine (Carey) Pfeiffer; her granddaughter Devin Smith, her grandsons, Raymond Pfeiffer, and Alejandro Simon; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Bielefeldt, Terry Metzger, Kim Simon, Cathy (Don) Adamczyk, Tom (Kathy) Simon, Bea (Doug) Pahl, Ed (Joan) Simon, Julie Simon, Greg (Lyn) Simon, Chris Simon; as well as many dear nieces and nephews.

   In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Alan Sapp, George Sapp, and Karen (Angel) Cartagena, and her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl Simon, Don Simon, and Mary Simon.

    A private family celebration of her life will take place in the future.
