
RACINE – Mrs. Stase Petrusaitis, 93, passed away at WFH- All-Saints on Saturday, April 13, 2013.
She was born in Pusalotas, Lithuania on December 22, 1919, the daughter of the late Kazys and Irena (nee: Silingaite)Simoliunas. In 1944 she married Peter Petrusaitis. They moved to Racine in 1954. Peter preceded her in death on February 23, 2000.
Mrs. Petrusaitis was a former member of St. Casmir Catholic Church and now currently St. Richard Catholic Church. She also belonged to the American Lithuanian Community and the American Lithuanian Women’s Club of Racine and Kenosha.
Mrs. Petrusaitis is survived by her brother-in-law, Klemas Povilaitis of Lithuania. She also had many loving nieces and nephews including, Aukse Valantiniene, Birute Simutiene, Dale Vaisviliene, Algimantas Stasiunas, Romas Sims, Joe Sims, Vita (Deborah Specht) Paukstelis, Lyna (Kevin) Postuchow and Tina (Douglas Despin) Paukstelis. In addition to her husband, Peter, she was preceded in death by her sister, Birute Povilaitis.
Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church (1509 Grand Ave.) on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of her life and funeral Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Ronald Gramza officiating. There will be a visitation in the church on Friday from 10-11 a.m. Her interment will follow the Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery Garden Crypts.
