STURTEVANT – Mr. Steven C. Knutson, 64, passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 28, 2015.

He was born in Racine on July 21, 1951, the son of the late Harvey and Elaine (nee: Shouts) Knutson. He graduated from William Horlick High School.   On May 5, 1973 he married his best friend and soulmate, Renee M. Mertins.

Steve enjoyed fishing and working in his yard.  He was happiest however when he was in the company of his family.

In addition to his loving wife, Renee, Steve is survived by his daughter, Chrystal Hensiak and his son, Jonathan Knutson; his grandchildren, Dakota Knutson, Dylan Shain and Drake Hensiak; his mother-in-law, Laurissa Mertins; his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas (Cindy) Mertins, Steven (Merry) Mertins, Michelle Wood; his nieces, Justina (Avery) King, Jamie (Nicholas) Mertins-Grycowski, Devon (Jay) Bernal, Annette DeHahn, Emily Mertins; his nephew, Eric Knutson; as well as great nieces, great nephews and dear friends. In addition to his parents, Steve was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Knutson and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Family and friends are invited to meet at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday, December 3, 2015 for a visitation from 4-6 p.m.  A service remembering and celebrating his life will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Samuelson officiating.   A private interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.
