Racine- Syradae Jackson, age 86, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Hospital on Monday, October 8, 2012. Syradae was born in Warren, Arkansas on September 25, 1926 , the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Mamie (nee: Campbell) Price. She was one of twelve children. Later in her life, marrying the late, Jimmy L. Jackson, of this union ten children were born. Syradae leaves to cherish her memories: seven sons, Jimmy L. Jackson Jr., Lester Jackson, Dennis Jackson, Jerome Jackson, all of Racine; Larry Jackson of Rockford, Ill.; Dexter (Joyce) Jackson, Dewey Jackson of Texas; one daughter, Travis D. Garland of Waukegan, Ill; one sister, Syble ( James) Morgan of Warren, Arkansas and a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Jackson Sr.; son, Terry Jackson; daughter, Effie Jackson and brother, Ulyesse “West”(Dorthy) Price. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 11am in Israel of God’s Church, 2017 Mead Street, with Rev. George Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Monday from 10-11 am.
