Obituary

Bristol – Tami L. Fanke, 62, passed away unexpectedly at St. Catherine's Medical Center on Friday, October 17, 2014.  She was born in Hillsboro, Wisconsin.  She was the daughter of the late Earl and Georgetta (nee: Shear) Gibney. After graduating from Salem Central High School, she was married to Emil F. Fanke III on June 13, 1970 in the Kenosha at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Tami's life was centered on the well-being of her family, caring for her children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, baking chocolate chip cookies and friendship bread for everyone to enjoy and watching the Packers. Tami retired from Snap-On Tools in 1995.

She is survived by her husband, Emil Fanke of Bristol; her children, Kris (Sabrina) Fanke, Gregory Fanke of Kenosha and Ann Fanke-Wenberg of Bristol; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchild; brother, Carl Gibney; sisters, Mary (James) Ahles and Gloria Honbrink; as well as other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Allen, Donald, David, and Steven Gibney; and her sister, Connie Gibney.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 with John Fleming presiding. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Memorials to the family are kindly suggested.
