Ted Alan Cohen, 23, passed away unexpectedly following an automobile accident in Milwaukee on Friday, March 23, 2007. Ted was born in Racine on Mother's Day, May 8, 1983, the son of Lee and Nancy (nee: Stempe) Cohen. Ted received his Prepatory Plumbing Degree from MATC on May 21, 2002. He then worked for Feiner Plumbing Company for one and a half years. Lately, he had been employed by Mainstream Records. Ted enjoyed his music and his Apple computer. He used both to make c.d.s and often performed as a D.J. with his music. He loved sailing and often crewed on Lake Michigan. Ted competed in the Dragon Boat Races. His pride and joy was his Volkswagen, which he customized and showed. Surviving are his mother, Nancy Cohen and his sister Kristen Cohen whom he dearly loved; his aunts and uncles, Mary (James) Dengel of West Bend, Susan (Don) Tempesta, and Jon Stempe all of Racine, Jane (Cliff) Grevstad of Burnsville, MN, and Lynne Cohen and her husband Andrew Lugg of Montreal, Canada, and his very special friend Megan Clausen of Racine. Ted is further survived by his cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. Ted was preceded in death by his father Lee Cohen, and his grandparents Grace and Stanley Stempe and Lester and Sophie Cohen. A Memorial Service honoring Ted's life will be celebrated in the funeral home on Tuesday, March 27th, at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Relatives and friends can meet with the family from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the Service. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the family who will establish an appropriate memorial at a later date.
