Teresa Diane (Bell) McMorris was called home by her loving Savior on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the age of 64 at a rehabilitation center. Teresa (Bell) was born on September 16, 1960, in Racine, WI to the union of the late Willie and Johnnie (Kirksey) Bell.

Teresa attended Washington Park High School, then furthered her education and earned an associate's degree in administrative Assistance, and Early Childhood Education. She was employed with the City of Racine for 12 years, and several years at MATC. Until her transition, Teresa was a proud business owner.

Teresa loved sharing her love for the Lord, loved having family gatherings, and dancing. With a warm heart, and bright smile, Teresa was always in the community being the helper, encourager, comforter and friend to everyone.

Teresa enjoyed baking especially pound cakes, and peanut butter cookies. Teresa was also an outstanding seamstress, making customized dresses, suits, and alterations. She enjoyed thrifting, and rummaging. Teresa loved gathering with friends and came up with a woman's group named CHIT, CHAT, and CHEW. Teresa's legacy also includes being the founder of the Sixth Reunion. This event brings neighbors, families and friends together.

Teresa was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church but would spread her love and enjoyed fellowshipping with other congregations.

At the early age of 13, Teresa met the love of her life Ronnie McMorris, and they joined in Holy Matrimony on September 3, 1983. They have been married for 41 years, and a loving couple for 52 years.

Teresa leaves to cherish her memories and wonderful life; her husband Ronnie McMorris, daughters LaTrisha Bell, Latrece McMorris, Sons; Ronnie McMorris Jr, and Ryan McMorris. Grandchildren, Javel Jones, Anya Ware, Ronnie McMorris III, Ranizjah McMorris, R'oyonna McMorris, Ra'Khari McMorris, Antonio Ware Jr., and Dontarion Cotton. Great granddaughter, Gianna Jones.

Teresa is further survived by her sisters Vickie Green, MeLisa Bell-Churchwell, Chrystal Taylor, brothers Ronald Bell, Reginald Bell, sisters-in-law, Dorniece (James) Carodine, Melody McMorris, brothers-in-law Roosevelt McMorris Jr., Ricky (JoAnne) McMorris, Charles (Yolanda) McMorris, aunties, Bernice Warner, Sarah (Pete) Walker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, bonus children, grandchildren and friends.

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Bell and Willie Bell, brothers Rinaldo Bell and Juan Morgan, mother-in-law Nancy McMorris, father-in-law Roosevelt McMorris Sr, three sisters-in-laws and one brother-in-law.

Service Details

The Homegoing Service for Teresa will be held at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1120 Grand Avenue, Racine on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11:00AM with Bishop Lawrence Kirby officiating. Visitation will be at church on Friday from 10:00AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
