Therese "Terri" Adele (Gerard) Waselchuk, age 73 of Racine, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026.

Born on October 17, 1952 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, she was the beloved daughter of Donald and Laverne (Ruben) Gerard. The youngest of the four siblings, Terri grew up in Green Bay. She graduated from high school in 1970 from St. Joseph's Academy.  While there, she was a cheerleader for Premontre High School.  After high school, Terri went to the University of Oshkosh where she met Peter Waselchuk.

In 1972, Terri married Pete, the love of her life. They raised their three kids, Sara, Angie, and Brian in Green Bay.  Terri worked at Bellin Memorial Hospital as a medical transcriptionist for over 25 years.  Summers were filled with many family gatherings and campfires at Little Silver Lake in Wild Rose, Wisconsin.

After the nest emptied, Terri and Pete moved to Caledonia, Wisconsin for a new chapter in their lives. She then worked for Aurora Hospital medical records for the next 14 years.  It was here in Racine where Terri found Christ as a beloved member of another family at Faith Community Church.  She gave her heart to the hungry by serving at Harvest Outreach Food Bank for many years, and as a meticulous gardener, lovingly tended to flowers at home and church.

Terri was known for her compassionate spirit, true kindness, and faith-filled life. Struck by God's beauty, she rarely missed an opportunity to take a picture of a sunset, a flower, a bird, or a bug. Her "My Garden's Gift" photos of her garden blessed hundreds of family and friends, art-show goers, and hospital hallways in the Aurora medical system. While flowers were important, photos of family were her favorite. Terri loved to explore new places, meet new people, and attend concerts.

Above all, she cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. Her family was the joy of her life.  She created a home filled with so much love, joy, hugs, laughter, and fun.  She was a cheerleader to the core, always encouraging anyone in need.

Terri is survived by her husband, Pete, her children Sara (Ed Nichols), Angela (Don Hendershot), and Brian Waselchuk (Paula Dymond), her 6 grandchildren: Jesse, Austin, Callum, Emily, Andrew, and Daniel. Terri is also survived by her siblings, Sue Wied, Paul (Jackie) Gerard, and Julie (Mike) Janssen, and a great number of in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Laverne and Donald Gerard, and her step-father Robert Boucher, in-laws Daniel and Patricia Waselchuk, brother-in-law Norm Wied, and sister-in-law Mary Rasmussen. Her love, laughter, and gentle spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Services celebrating Terri's wonderful life will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dino Galati officiating. A memorial luncheon will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday, March 28th, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Private interment will take place in Arlington Park Cemetery in Greenfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials to "Faith Community Church – Garden Fund" have been suggested.
