RACINE – Thomas F. Howe, 80, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 with his loving family at his side.
He was born in Chicago, IL on September 24, 1940; the son of the late William and Cornelia (nee: Van der Weil) Howe. On April 6, 1962, he married Domina Marie Giaconi in Bellingham, WA.
Thomas proudly served his country with the U. S. Marine Corps from 1958 – 1966. He graduated from Madison Business College in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in business.
Thomas had many occupations over the years. He worked as a ticket agent for Northwest Airlines. He also was a manager of Ponderosa Restaurant and worked as a travel agent for many years, at Kids Travel, Baxter and AAA. Finally, he worked as a corrections officer for the Racine County Sheriff's Department. After retirement, he continued to serve in pretrial risk assessments.
Thomas was a former member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. He was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Senior Men's League at Ives Grove Golf Links.
In addition to his loving wife, Domina, he is survived by his two daughters, Linda (Richard) Howe-Wensel of Mankato, MN and Donna Howe of Omaha, NE and his granddaughter, Marissa Marie Wensel. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Howe.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 9-10 a.m. Due to Covid19, a private, invitation only, service will take place with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care 6737 W. Washington Street Suite 2150 West Allis, WI 53214.
