Thomas "Tiger" Becker

Jun 4, 1957 – Apr 12, 2016

Arkdale- Thomas “Tiger” Becker, 58, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from complications of COPD at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, WI. He was surrounded by his loving family as he peacefully moved from this life to the next. Thomas was born in Racine, WI on June 4th, 1957 to Jim and Pat (Ahnen) Becker. He was raised in a loving home with his 10 siblings. His yearly trips to Camp Nesbit ignited his passion for the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, bow and rifle hunter, and enjoyed all things related to being outside. He had a patient, playful, and fun loving attitude and enjoyed teaching what he had learned to others. It was at Camp where he first met and fell in love with Rita, the mother of his beautiful daughter, Rachel, who became the center of his universe.
He made his living working as a tool and die specialist, with the majority of his career at Quick Cable Corporation. His passion for the outdoors led him to move to the Adams Friendship area. There he continued to work, making use of his many skills as a tradesman. He made many friends who knew him well for his kind and loyal heart.
He is survived by his daughter Rachel (Josh) Hunstiger and grandson Dominic Hunstiger. Tiger leaves behind his parents Jim and Pat Becker; brothers and sisters Carl (San Dee) Becker,   Jo Ellen (Bruce) Gonzo, Cathy (Jim) Straka, Rob (Mary ) Becker, Paul (Cindy Lou) Becker, Terry (Cahnrad) Cagle, Ann (Dan) Winter, Shelly (Jeff) Tyree, Mike (Krissy) Becker, Jenny (Scott) Meyers and many nieces and nephews and close friends, Mark Shumaker and Rick Ryder.
There will be a funeral Mass for Tom at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1100 Erie Street, on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10:30 am. Visitors may pay their respects to the family from 9:00-10:30 am at St. Patrick’s Church. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorials to his daughter and grandson are appreciated.
The Fisherman’s Prayer
I pray that I may live to fish
until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast
I then most humbly pray;
When in the Lord’s great
landing net and peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy I be judged
Big enough to keep.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

I just wanted to say thank you for your wonderful attention to every detail you provided our family for my dad’s service. We were touched by the jazz music playing softly in the background. It was a fitting service for my dear Dad.
