Obituary

Racine – Trennie Yvette Epps, 62, passed away peacefully at Ascension All Saints Hospital, under the care of Compassus Hospice, on Monday, January 26, 2026 following a brave battle with cancer.

A lifetime resident, Trennie was born in Racine, WI on September 10, 1963 to Willie Fred McWhorter and Rosie Lee (nee: Epps) Moore.  She was a 1981 graduate of Washington Park High School. Trennie graduated from the Cosmetology program through Racine's Vocational Beauty School. With profound dedication, Trennie served our community as a correctional officer for the State of Wisconsin for over 30 years.

Outside of her family being her everything, Trennie enjoyed playing Bingo, being with her grand-children, cooking, shopping, traveling and was an extreme sports fan – especially when it came time to the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Cubs and anything to do with LeBron James.

Surviving is her beautiful mother, Rosie Moore; dear sister, Virgie Epps;  her beloved children, Tashanti (Adrian Myhre) Young, DeLane Martin, Darius Martin and Torre Rogers; adored grandchildren, Aiden Myhre, Aaliyah Martin, Alex Myhre, Aaron Myhre, Zaydis Martin and Zarom Martin; special niece, Karena Allen-McArthur (Kevon McArthur); her forever friends that were part of the "Fab Four", Cynthia White, Patricia Manning, Cynthia (Nikki) Johnson-Perry and other relatives, her Racine Correctional Institute family,  a host of Bingo partners and friends – too numerous to mention all by name.
