RACINE – Trent A. Harper, 18, died unexpectedly on March 10, 2026.

Trent Anthony Harper was born to LaToya Marie James and Titus Anthony Harper Jr. on July 31, 2007, in Racine, Wisconsin. Trent grew up in Racine and attended REAL School before graduating from Horlick High School with the Class of 2025.

He loved sports, especially football, and proudly played on Horlick’s 2024 playoff team, showing the strong work ethic and team-first spirit that defined him. Trent was known for his ability to get along with anyone, his contagious smile, and his gift for making people laugh. He attended Changing Lives Ministries, where he participated in the young men’s dance team and loved going to church with his grandmother, often singing together in the car—one of his favorite songs being “Mary Did You Know.”

Trent was preceded in death by his great-grandfather Frank James Sr., great-grandmother Cecelia James, great-grandmother Rosalind Williams, great-grandmother Ida Anderson, great-grandfather Andrew Anderson Sr., grandmother Rochelle Means, and uncle Terrell Harper.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, LaToya Marie James and Titus Anthony Harper Jr.; his siblings Jaylen Harper, Kaleb Harper, Tariah James, Josiah Bogan, and Jaliyah Bogan; his grandparents Kimberly James, Andrew (Sherrie) Anderson, and Titus Harper Sr.; along with his girlfriend Yaj’aira, close friends, mentors, and many loving family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to meet at Searching Together Missionary Baptist Church (825 Caron Butler Drive)  on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:00 am, to celebrate Trent’s life and Homegoing.  There will be a visitation in the church on Saturday from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.

Testimonials

Outstanding!

My family picked Draeger , for our Dad, because they did such a wonderful job for my sister and brother in law. I don’t even have the right language skills to tell you how wonderful and compassionate Gary was to our family! He thought of every detail and made it so affordable but yet OUTSTANDING quality! I just can’t say enough about the whole entire process! Thank you Gary! Warren Williams officiated the service and he couldn’t of done a better , more sincere job! Thank you again, Gary! You are superb!

Sincerely,
The Morris Family ❤
