Tyrone Trabert

vet
Sep 6, 1938 – May 6, 2013

Tyrone “Ron” Trabert, 74, passed away at All Saints Hospital on Monday, May 6, 2013. He was born in Milwaukee on September 6, 1938, son of the late William and Leona (nee: Fehlo) Trabert. He was a Racine resident for most of his life.

Ron's career at Motion Industries (Wisconsin Bearing) spanned 42 years, and was office manager when he retired in 2003. Ron enjoyed fishing, especially the annual fly-in trips to Canada. He had a lifelong fascination with trains and had an extensive model train collection and model train layout. He was a member of the Old Codgers Club and the Thursday Nite Train Group. Often he would ride to Chicago on the Metra just for the fun and the enjoyment of it.

Ron is survived by his sons, Tyrone A (Debbie) Trabert and Michael (Debbie) Trabert both of Racine; 8 grandchildren, Ashley, Scott, Christopher, Randy, Christopher, Lisa, Jennifer, and James; 9 great-grandchildren; his brother Paul (Dawn) Trabert of Elmwood Park, New Jersey; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Angie in 2012; and his sister, Joyce Mannila.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 12 noon. Ron will be laid to rest alongside his beloved Angie in a private service.

Testimonials

March 13, 2025

Thank you so very much for the exemplary care that you provided for both our mom and dad. Your family is extremely kind and exudes much empathy towards others. You and your staff display much professionalism with great talent and attention to detail. Mom and dad were always very particular in their appearance. Mom would say, You are leaving a lasting impression of yourself with someone to remember you by. Your parents taught you boys well; be very proud of that! Love on them, as death is so very permanent.

Holly and I are officially orphans now. It is people like your family and David Huck being there for us, that bring comfort when you are going through one of the most difficult challenges life throws at you.

I thank God every day for our Ostergaard family and will always cherish the memories.

Love you,

Jody Burlingame Wagner
