Racine – Vanessa A. Williams, 45, passed away at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha on Saturday, October 24, 2009.

Vanessa was born on March 30, 1964 to Walter and Corine (nee: Taylor) Williams. With a profound faith in her Lord, she was a lifelong member of Gregg Chapel. She enjoyed travelling, playing Bingo and loved being in the midst of family and friends.

She will be dearly missed by her wonderful mother, Corine (nee: Taylor) Williams; sisters, Lorine (Henry) Brown and Patricia (Darryl) McCall; brothers, Leroy (Carol) Williams, Ralph Williams, Jerome Williams, Larry Williams, Ronnie Williams and Michael (Selena) Williams, all of Racine; and by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. Vanessa was preceded in death by her father, Walter Williams; and brother, Willie Williams. A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 11 am in Gregg Chapel C.M.E. Church, 2237 Howe St., with Rev. David R. Green officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Friday from 10-11 am.
