Verna C. Willerth (nee: Heyel) age 102, passed away quietly in her sleep on August 26, 2024 surrounded by family.  She was born on April 22, 1922 to Nicholas and Grace Heyel. Verna grew up in Glidden, Wisconsin and graduated from the Glidden High School in 1940.  On November 26, 1946, she married the love of her life Warren O. Willerth.  Verna was a very spiritual woman with a smile for everyone and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Verna is survived by her children Everett (Donna) Willerth and Dale (Susan) Willerth and 6 grandchildren; Joseph Willerth, Juliet Baird, Amy Heppert, Katie Grabert, Carrie Neuman, Kim Velleman and 13 great grandchildren; Luke Baird, Dominique Baird, Benjamin Willerth, Christina Heppert, Vinnie Heppert, Brooklyn Grabert, Jackson Grabert, Madison Grabert, Ashlyn Grabert, Adelynn Neuman, Cameron Neuman, Aiden Velleman and Elise Velleman.

Verna will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

A graveside service will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1409 South Wolf Road, Hillside, Illinois on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 11:00am.
