Victor J. Morris, 96, passed away at Ascension-All Saints, on Saturday, June 13, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Racine on July 4, 1923 the son of the late John and Frances (nee: Douska) Morris.

Mr. Morris was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison. He served his country with the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Sonarman aboard the USS Frybarger. On September 20, 1947, he was united in marriage to Charlotte Nelson. She preceded him in death on September 9, 1999. On June 23, 2001, he was united in marriage to Karlyn Peterson. Mr. Morris had been employed by Webster Electric. He was an avid Packer and Badger fan and enjoyed golfing, dancing and bowling. He always told everyone the 4 ^th of July Parade and fireworks where in honor of his birthday. He was very proud of his military service. A great sense of humor, he would pick up a telemarketer phone call and start cursing in his native Lithuanian language.

Surviving are his wife Karlyn. His children, Linda "Lynn" (Ted) Schattner, of Mt. Pleasant, Bob Morris, of Union Grove, Ron (Lynn) Morris, of St. Paul, MN, Laura (Mike) Gorelik, of Mt. Pleasant; son-in-law, Roger Poppelman; fourteen grandchildren, Randy (Sara) Schattner, Rick (Nicki) Schattner, Troy (Danielle) Schattner, Scott (Rebecca) Morris, Melissa (Shawn) Muller, Ryan (Amber) Morris, Leah Gorelik, Summer Gorelik, Eric (Alix) Poppelman, Kyle Poppelman, Jesse (Danny) Baggott, Sara (Logan) Hanson, Brittany Gorelik, and Samuel Gorelik; twenty-four great grandchildren, one of which was named for him to carry on his legacy. His nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive him. In addition to his parents and wife Charlotte, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Cathie(Roger) Poppelman and Julie (Sylvester) Gorelik, and two brothers, Walter and Edward Morris.

Service Details

Victor J. Morris, 96, passed away on June 13, 2020. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, June 18 ^th , at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Warren Williams officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Private family burial will be in Mound Cemetery. In accordance with Racine County mandate, only 50 people will be allowed to enter the funeral home at a time.  You may be required to wait outside until others leave the building.  For the safety and security of our guests we also require those in attendance to wear a face covering.  We thank everyone for their understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.
