Service Details

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Friday, June 14, 2024, for a visitation from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. 

 

A service celebrating her life and Homegoing will take place at 11:00 am with Rev. Keith Evans officiating.  Her interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

Vivian Boykin was called home to be with the Lord, on June 3rd,2024 at Ascension St. Francis Living in South Milwaukee. Vivian Boykin was born on March 8th,1958 to Voncile Hudson and the late Deacon James Hudson.

Vivian, loved spending time with her friends/family as she leaves to cherish her memories of, her mother Voncile Hudson, her two children Anthony and LaShonda Boykin her aunt and uncle Alma-Robert Crittenden, of Greenville, Alabama a host of cousins, and friends too numerous to mention.

Vivian, graduated at the age of 16, from Park High School, she was a Graduate of U.W. Whitewater, enjoyed playing the piano and singing for the Lord. A Faithful member of the Gospel singing group “The Gospel Sister’s” with one of her favorite songs being “Oh, How I Love Jesus” a member of the combined choir at, Greater Mount Eagle Baptist Church, played the piano for the Male Chorus, and also was a member of the Racine-Kenosha Chapter of G.M.W.A.

Vivian worked many years for, Western Publishing Company, retired from Case Industrial as a Legal Administrative Assistant, and was known as the number 1 Typist in the state of Wisconsin,

In addition to her father, Vivian was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tommie and Verna: nee Price-Lawson her uncles Tommie Jr, James, Earnest, and Javon Lawson her aunts Willie Foots, Janie Polk and Mary Frances Kendrick,
