Walter S. Bazan, age 81, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on April 17, 2024.

He was born in Utica, NY on April 22, 1942, a son of the late Bernard and Anna (nee: Kasakowski) Bazan.

Walter proudly served his country in the US Army.

He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from SUNY Utica.

Walter was employed for many years with Remington Arms, Ilion, NY. He retired as a supervisor at Case New Holland after many years of service.

Walter was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his significant other of many years, Dorothy Brucker; his brother, Anthony (Patricia) Bazan; his niece who he was close with, Julie Bazan D'Angelo and her husband Michael, and several other loving nieces and nephews, and a great nephew.

Service Details

A visitation for Walter will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00a.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services with interment in St John's Cemetery will take place in Newport, NY
