Wilbert Williams

     Mr. Wilbert Williams, 61, passed away on January 3, 2011, at Manor Care in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  He was born in Crenshaw County, Alabama, on November 29, 1949, to Dave and Mary (nee: Horns) Williams.

     He graduated from William Horlick High School in Racine, Wisconsin, on June 13, 1969.  Mr. Williams served in the U.S. Army from February 1971-1972.  He received the National Defense Service Medal as a sharp shooter award and received an honorable discharge.  Mr. Williams was employed by American Motors for approximately twenty years.  He was united in marriage to Evelyn Briginert of Luverne, Alabama.

     Mr. Williams leaves a loving family, two sons, Chris Williams of Troy, Alabama, and Wilbert Williams, Jr. of Toledo, Ohio; sister, Mary Dean (Williams) Freeman of Mishawake, Indiana;  good friend, Lorreta Howard; nephews, Odise Bennett of Luverne, Alabama, Derrick Oates, Darrell Oates, and Dino Oates, all of Racine, Wisconsin, and Sammie Williams, Jr. of Atlanta Georgia; nieces, Armena Bennet of Toledo, Ohio, Claudy Mae (Bennie) McDonald of Luverne, Alabama, and Angela Oates of Racine, Wisconsin.

     Mr. Williams was preceeded in death by his parents, Dave and Mary Williams; sisters, Armilla (nee: Williams) Holland, Mattie Ree (nee: Williams) Woods, and Nellie (nee: Williams) Oates; and brothers, Augusta Williams and Elbert Williams.

     Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at 11:00 am.  Interment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI, 53182), on Monday, January 10, 2011, at 10:00am.
