HANCOCK, WI (formerly of Racine) – Mr. Willi K. Neuendorf, 82, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, January 24, 2012.

Willi was born in Berlin, Germany on October 12, 1929, the son of Karl Friedrich and Martha Anna Berta (nee: Wasserstrass) Neuendorf.  On November 25, 1950, he was united in marriage to Erika H. Blumtritt.  She preceded him in death on January 28, 1987.  He moved to Racine in 1957 and taught himself the English language.

On October 19, 1996 (Sweetest Day), Willi was united in marriage with Diane Klein in Las Vegas.  Together they eventually moved from Racine to Hancock near Wautoma.

Willi retired from JI Case after 30 years of service.  Although he was a crank shift grinder at Case, he was actually a jack of all trades that could do anything he set his heart out to do.  Willi was a shoemaker, carpenter, builder and painter.  He was also a talented cook and seamster.   Willi enjoyed his free time in the outdoors hunting, fishing, boating and gardening.  He also enjoyed his friendships and membership at the Racine German Club.  Above all, Willi was happiest when in the presence of his family.

In addition to his loving wife Diane, his survivors include his children, Werner Neuendorf, Monika Kish both of Racine, Arnold Neuendorf of Saxsville, WI, Christine Neuendorf of Racine; 19 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; his step-children, Dean (Danial) Berget, Dawn Mahoney; his mother-in-law, Florence Harris of Racine; his sponsors for coming to the United States, Irmgard and William Sakkinen of Kenosha; as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents and first wife, Erika, Willi was preceded in death by his sister, Gertrude.

Family and friends are invited to meet at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. for a visitation and a memorial service celebrating Willi's life following at noon.  His interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
