Obituary

William "Bill" Franklin Roberts, age 48, of Racine, passed away on March 9, 2026. He was born on August 1 st , 1977 in Racine, Wisconsin, to Franklin Donald Roberts and Rose Marie Roberts (Poritz).

Bill earned his high school diploma from Case High School. After finishing school, Bill dedicated more than 30 years of hard work as a forklift operator at Putzmeister in Racine, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Bill was a man known for his strength, resilience, and generosity. Those who knew him often said he would give the shirt off his back, even if it was the only one he had. He was a hardworking and charismatic person who brought energy and warmth to those around him. Above all, Bill deeply loved his family. He cherished spending quality time with them and was especially devoted to his daughters and grandchildren. To many friends, family members, and members of the community, he was affectionately known as "Superman" — a father, protector, and someone people could always count on.

He was also a loyal San Francisco 49ers fan and rarely missed a chance to watch a game or talk football with friends and family.

Bill is survived by his pride and joy, Marah Rae Zigas (Roberts), Abigail Rose Roberts, and Ava Gracie Roberts; his former wife and best friend, Amanda Lang; his beloved grandchildren, Olivia Julie Zigas and Jack Franklin Zigas; his lifelong siblings Rick (Mary) Roberts and Rebecca Roberts; many nieces and nephews, Clairissa Rodriguez, Corey Jurkewitz, Tracey Brett, Karen, Brandon, Tim, Beckianne, Amari, Ted, Nicole, Lola, Kelly, Martina, Jacob, Riley, Justin, Michael, TJ, Toteonia, and Donald Roberts He also shared a special and close bond with Marlene and Donald Steinke.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Donald Roberts and Rose Marie Roberts; his sisters, Teri Roberts and Michelle Martin; and his nephew, Christopher Roberts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21 st at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home 4600 County Line rd, Mount Pleasant WI, 53403 . Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by a service at 3:00 p.m. In honor of Bill, the family asks that guests refrain from wearing black. Formal attire is not required, and guests are encouraged to wear their favorite team sports apparel.
