Obituary

William Henry Walker Sr. departed this life on September 24, 2020.  William was born on April 6, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri to Gussie (Green) Walker and William Henry Walker.

William in his life worked several jobs and was self-employed prior to his health declining, doing whatever his hands found to do.  William was affectionately called "Nonny" by those who knew him well.  Nonny enjoyed his life and loved many things, such as Sudoku, word puzzles, drawing, coloring, and reading, especially his bible because he was a strong believer in God. His favorite movie was Avatar. He loved to joke around making people laugh. William was very warm with a kind heart.  He loved his family and his grandchildren.

William affectionately leaves to cherish his memories his 9 children, Alonzo (Tanya) Finger, Ashley Finger, Warnethel Walker, Tracie (Charles) Walker-Cook, William D. Walker, Jermey Walker, Stephen Walker, William H. Walker Jr., Sharina Walker (his caregiver), his loving grandchildren; one sister, Warnethel (Red) Anderson, and a host of family.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Mrs. Gussie (Green) Walker and Mr. William Henry Walker, one son, Roger Walker, one brother Fredrick Walker, two sisters, Inell Walker, Leatha Mae Walker and his brother-in-law, Westley Anderson.

William had a kind soul and was very inviting to those he encountered; very warm and loving, William will be missed by all that were blessed to know him.
