Obituary

Willie L. Waldrop was born to Moses Waldrop and Panzy Foots on November 22, 1933. Willie Waldrop departed us on January 8, 2022. He was united in marriage to Mae L (Taylor) Waldrop, August 3, 1960. He retired from Saint go Bain in 1999. He served in the Armed Forces and was honorably discharged. Willie will forever be remembered by his loving family, his children, Carolyn (Joseph)Dyess, Darlene Davis, Teresa, Melvin, Greg, and Wilma Waldrop; brothers, Jimmie Waldrop of Racine WI, Moses Jr. (Jessie) Waldrop of Shelby, Mississippi, and Pastor Dr. James Sr. (Mary) Waldrop of Ruleville, Mississippi; sisters, Dr. Queen Hart of Atlanta, Georgia, Pastor Margaret Harris, and Margie Rodgers, both of Merigold, Mississippi; grandkids, Jimmie, Javell, Jarell, Jamar, and Shaletha Mayfield, Fayzell Jr. and Jamaris Mosley, Antwaine, Marquita, Elijaun, Tamika, Marquis and Lavoya Waldrop, Fantasia and Zantasia Johnson and Prentiss III, Tatum, Vanessa, Deora, Malina Waldrop, Jordon, Isiah, Xavier, Zakari, Safarhi and Amari Waldrop. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Waldrop; his parents, Moses Waldrop Sr. and Panzy Foots; his son, Marvin Waldrop and granddaughter, Denise Mosley; his brothers, Joseph Foots and Henry L Stacy; his sisters, Maggie Lurine Woodard and Dorothy Lewis. I would like to give a very special thanks to his caregiver, JOSEPH DYESS.

There will be a visitation in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon. There will be no funeral service at this time.
