Racine – Willy L. Christensen, age 95, passed away peacefully at Ridgewood Care Center on Palm Sunday, April 9, 2017.

Willy was born in Racine on September 27, 1921 to the late Christ and Dorothy (nee: Jensen) Christensen. He faithfully served our Country with the US Army 45 ^th Division in WWII. Willy was a longtime employee of Modine Mfg.

Surviving are his second wife, Phyllis Starks; son, Robert (Robin) Christensen; daughter, Nancy Christensen; grandchildren, Bradley and Connor Christensen; Phyllis' children and grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Willy was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn (nee: Rasmussen) Christensen, who passed away in 1991.

Graveside committal services, with military honors, will take place on Holy Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11:00 am in Graceland Cemetery (corner of Osborne & Graceland Blvds .) with Fr. Ryan Starks officiating. Please meet at the cemetery gate by 10:45 am.
