
JOAN C. CYPCAR Kenosha- Joan Carol Cypcar, 64, passed away in Kenosha at the Aurora Medical Center on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 following a brave battle with cancer. Joan was born in Chippewa Falls, WI on February 2, 1941 and was cared for by her foster parents Alex and Ann (nee:Koshak) Graef. She lived in the Racine / Kenosha area for most all of her life. On September 3, 1960 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Milwaukee, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dennis Stanley Cypcar, who preceded her in death on February 2, 2005. Joan thoroughly enjoyed her employment as a sandwich artist at Subway for over 10 years. She was a longtime member of St. Peter Catholic Church-Kenosha. Among many of her interests, Joan was fond of fishing and being in Northern Wisconsin especially Eagle River and the Dells. Above all, she loved and cherished the times when surrounded by her entire family. She will be sorely missed. Surviving are her children, Dominic (Debbie) Cypcar of Kodak, TN; Joseph (Connie) Cypcar of Racine; Marc (Cindy) Cypcar of Wisconsin Dells; Linda McKellips of Adams; and Mary Jo Cypcar of Kenosha; 14 grandchildren, Marc, Joe, Matthew, Daniel, Jonathan, Jennifer, Samantha, Jenny, Savanna, Nicole, Travis, Alex, Zack and Hannah; great-granddaughter, Brookelin; sister, Mary (Gene) Zylka of Hubertus, WI; sister-in-law, Beanie (Jerry) Kowalski of Milwaukee; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was preceded in death by her son, Christopher; and grandson, Lucas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 10:00 am in St. Peter Catholic Church, 2224-30th Ave.-Kenosha, with Rev. William Hayward, MIC officiating. In accordance with Joan’s wishes, cremation will follow the services with inurnment in West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 – 3:00 pm and in the church on Monday from 9:30-10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for a memorial that will be established at a later date. A special note of thanks to Dr. A.J. Capelli, and the staffs of both the Aurora Medical Center-ICU and Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic for the loving care and support that was so warmly extended to our Mom and family during these past difficult months.
