Tommy Stewart

May 27, 1951 – Dec 6, 2005

Tommy Stewart Racine- Tommy Stewart, 54, was born into eternal life at the emergency room of All Saints-St. Mary’s Medical Center on Tuesday, December 6, 2005. Tommy was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas on May 27, 1951. He lived in Chicago for most of his life until moving to Racine in 2000. A devote Christian, he was an inspiration to his entire family and friends. Among many of his hobbies, Tommy enjoyed taking long walks and trying his luck playing the lottery. He will be dearly missed! Tommy leaves to cherish his precious memory, his father, Freeman Canady Sr.; 3 brothers, Hansel (Reola) Canady, Freeman Canady Jr., and Frank Canady, all of Racine; 6 sisters, Martha (Kevin Jones) McAtee of Green Bay; Jacqueline (Plas) Thomas of St. Anne, IL; Joyce and Daisy Canady, both of Racine; Antoinette (Jameel) Crawley of Texas; and Evelyn (Kenneth) Robinson of Racine; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, too numerous to mention by name. Tommy was preceded in death by his brother, Glen Clayton Canady and his mother, Sarah Canady. A Homegoing celebration will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd., on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 10:00 am with Rev. Virginia Lackey officiating. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery Garden Crypts. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Saturday from 9-10 am. A special note of thanks to Daisy and Kenya Canady for the loving care and support that was so warmly extended to Tommy in his time of need. God bless both of you!
