
Racine- Audrey A. (nee: Rittenhouse) Kristzonas, 77, passed away unexpectedly in Milwaukee at the Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital on Monday, March 20, 2006 following a brief battle with cancer. Audrey was born in Oshkosh, WI on January 27, 1929 to the late Leo and Marie (nee: Tiedje) Rittenhouse. She has been a Racine resident for over 43 years. Audrey was a longtime employee of Ametek-Lamb Electric retiring in 1993. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, playing cards and coffee clutching. Compassionate and kindhearted, she was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved being in the surroundings of her entire family. She will be dearly missed. Surviving are her children, Carlyn Rittenhouse of Milwaukee; Charlene Holquin of Mentone, CA; Joy Schoeffler and John Jr. (Mary) Kristzonas, both of Racine; and Dawn (Dave) Hadler of Sturtevant; grandchildren, Shawn Rittenhouse; James Weeks; Richard and Richelle Raun; Jennifer, Melissa and John III Kristzonas; and Travis Sylvester; great-grandchildren, Devin and Dustin Weeks, and Annalysa Boedecker; former husband, John Kristzonas Sr.; sister, Beatrice Molash of Beloit; brother, Douglas (Marylou) Rittenhouse of Oregon, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry, Richard, Donald, Robert and Sonny Rittenhouse; and by brother-in-law, Nathan Molash. In accordance to Audrey’s wishes, cremation will take place. Memorial services will be held in the funeral home, 4600 County Line Rd., on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Pam Kerschner. Private interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Chilton. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 12 noon – 2 pm. In memory of Audrey, memorials to the Froedtert & Medical College Cancer Center is encouraged. A special note of thanks to the Froedtert physicians and nursing staff of RN station 3NW for the wonderful care that Mom received and support that was extended to our family. Your kindness will always be remembered.
