Racine- David C. Levin, 85, passed away at the Lincoln Village Convalescent Center on Saturday, April 1, 2006 following a several month bout with cancer. A lifetime resident, David was born in Racine on March 26, 1921 to the late Joseph and Jennie (nee: Slobodkin) Levin. He served our Country with the United States Air Corps during WWII, touring most of the time in England. For many years, David owned and operated Levin Bros. Clothing Store, 521-6th Street, until its closure in 1981. He was a fanatical golfer. Surviving are his loving wife, Lydia (nee: DeLitz); sister-in-law, Pearl Levin; nieces, nephews, other dear relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Levin; sisters, Leah (Dr. Leo) Lifschutz and Sylvia Levin. In accordance with David’s wishes, cremation has taken place with entombment at the crypts of Graceland Cemetery. Private memorial services for Dave’s immediate family will be held at a later date. A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center and Hospice Alliance for their compassionate care and understanding. Your kindness will always be remembered!

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Mike,
Words cannot adequately convey our gratitude for all you did to honor our family member and friend, Mert Fleury. Like with her husband Ray, years ago, you and your staff went above and beyond to help us through this difficult time and to give Mert a wonderful celebration of her life. Every detail was considered, all of our requests were given unfailing attention, and the little extras took our breath away. Every sad feeling and every tear was matched two-fold with feelings of gratitude and comfort because of what you did. We will be forever grateful!
The Fleury Family

David Fleury
