
Racine- Patrick Bernard Cranley, 76, passed away peacefully at the Ridgewood Care Center on Saturday, June 17, 2006. Patrick was born in Ludington, MI on March 31, 1930 to the late Michael John “Jack” and Mary (nee: Hillig) Cranley. A 1948 graduate of St. Catherine’s High School, Patrick faithfully served our Country with the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953. An accomplished and talented artist, Patrick enjoyed his employment at the Museum of Modern Arts. Surviving are his son, Patrick “Smith” (Diane) Cranley; brothers and sisters, Colleen Graham, Kathleen Amantea, Dennis (Janet) Cranley, Joseph (Judy) Cranley, Thomas Cranley and James (Nancy) Cranley; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Cranley, on July 3, 1972. Memorial services celebrating Patrick’s life will be held in the funeral home, 4600 County Line Rd., on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 7:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Warren D. Williams officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7 pm. Private inurnment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32 on Friday. In honor of the wonderful care Patrick received over the past 6 years at Ridgewood Care Center, memorials to Ridgewood have been suggested. The family extends a heartfelt note of thanks to St. Mary’s Medical Center 2A, Dr. Rudy Byron, and especially to the entire staff at Ridgewood Care Center who provided excellent and compassionate care, and friendship, to Patrick.
