Patricia Georgene Jander

Nov 28, 1934 – Aug 25, 2006

Racine – Patricia Georgene Jander, 71, passed away at Hospice House in Kenosha on Friday, August 25, 2006. She was born in Racine on November 28, 1934, daughter of the late Harold and Mabel (nee: Moore) Hawes. On June 2, 1956 she was united in holy matrimony to Ronald Jander, who preceded her in 1994. Patricia was a mother and homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking for her Senior Sunshine Club at Lakeview and Humble Community Centers. She also enjoyed playing bingo, reading and solving puzzles. She is survived by her children, Steven Jander, Jeffrey Jander, Thomas (Theresa) Jander, and Jill (Derrick) Flowers all of Racine; grandchildren, Katrina, Kyle, Jason, Scott, Kevin, Janel, Taylor, and Cameron; great grandchildren, Brianna, Adrianna, Breanna, and Jeremiah; brothers, James Hawes, Daniel Hawes; sister, Margaret (Bob) Sheppard; sister-in-law Marlene Hawes, and brother-in-law John Umiker. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including Eleanor and Robert Kirkendoll. She was also preceded by her son, Tim Jander, daughter, Susie Jander; sister Fern “Peachy” Umiker; brother Ronald “Bud” Hawes; and sisters-in-law Eunice Hawes, and Shirley Hawes. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday evening from 5 – 7 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will immediately follow. Private entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery on Hwy 32.
