Jan 29, 1932 – Sep 1, 2006

Arlene R. Hetland, 74, passed away in LaCrosse on Friday, September 1, 2006. She was born in Racine on January 29, 1932, daughter of the late Theodore and Violina (nee: Vogelman) Hoffmann. On May 5, 1951, in St. Sebastian’s Church she was united in holy matrimony to Richard E. Hetland, Sr.

After retirement she and Richard relocated to Warrens, where she enjoyed fishing, golf, casino trips, and the wildlife on her beautiful land. She was a former member of St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church in Sturtevant.

Arlene is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Richard; their children, Richard E. (Sara) Hetland, Jr., Kim (Richard) Krummel, and Gary Hetland; grandchildren, Tony Hetland, Katie (Aaron) Bassindale, Matt Krummel, Alex Krummel, Eric Hetland, Meghan Hetland, and Stephanie Hetland; great grandchildren, Mitchell, Trenton, Trayton, and Chloe; sister Bonnie Poikonen; brothers, Ted Hoffmann, and Tim Hoffmann; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Don and Irene Hetland, Ken Hetland, Beverly Trobaugh, Shirley and Dick Dedeyne, Lois and Joe Gagliano, Jim and Sharon Hetland, Jack and Joan Hetland, Bill and Cyndy Hetland, Tom and Donna Hetland, Fran Hetland, and Aggie Hetland; many other relatives and friends, including Pat and Nancy Daly, Joe and Sue Miles, and Gary and Nikki Hruska all of Warrens. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Diane Fliess, Carol Lutkis, and Katherine “Kitty” Bydalek; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob Hetland, Vilas Hetland, and Shirley Hetland.
