Felipe S. Morales

Sep 13, 1934 – Sep 7, 2006

Racine- Felipe S. Morales, 71, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early afternoon of Thursday, September 7, 2006 following a courageous battle with cancer. Felipe was born in Cotulla, TX on September 13, 1934 to the late Rosalio and Luisa (nee: Sanchez) Morales, Sr. He moved to Racine in 1949 in search of employment which he found at American Motors / Chrysler, retiring after 36 years. On January 26, 1958 in Dilley, TX, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Maria Acosta. A devoted man of faith, Felipe was an active member of Cristo Rey Parish where he served as an usher and tireless volunteer. He was an accomplished musician especially on his guitar and accordion. Quite often, Felipe would be found working on projects around his home and garage. A true family man, he loved and cherished being in the surroundings of his entire family. Felipe was especially proud of his grandchildren. His infectious smile and his genuine caring mannerisms will be missed immensely. Surviving are his loving wife, Maria; their children, Ricardo Morales, Mary Alice Morales and Ronnie (Joan) Morales; grandchildren, Marciano, Nicholas and Alyssa Morales; brothers and sisters, Matias Morales, Natividad Morales, Jessie (Sophia) Morales, Joe (Sara) Morales, Rosa Garibay, Janie Serra and Mary Morales; sister-in-law, Maria Morales; many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. In addition to his parents, Felipe was preceded in death by his brother, Rosalio Morales, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Cristo Rey Parish, 8th Street and College Avenue, on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 10:00 am with Rev. Roberto J. McGlinn officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Highway 32. Visitation will be in the funeral home, 4600 County Line Rd., on Monday from 4-7 pm with a prayer service offered at 7 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9-10 at the church. In memory of Felipe, memorials to Cristo Rey Parish have been suggested. A heartfelt note of thanks to Dr. Michael P. Mullane and his entire staff; Dr. Nancy Davis at Froedtert Memorial; and to the nurses and caregivers at Hospice Alliance for the compassionate care and support that was so warmly extended to Felipe and to our family during his seven year battle with cancer. God bless all of you!

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

My husband, Tom, died on Jan. 24, 2015. From that life-changing day and still now, Gary and his sons have been at my side taking care of me, advising me, and guiding me with their sensitive, caring, and efficient expertise. I have heard from friends and family how perfect and wonderful the funeral service was (it was a blur for me), and I have the beautiful obit, memorial booklets, CD rom of slide show, celebration candle, portrait, and even personalized thank you cards to provide memories and comfort during difficult days ahead. My heart is full of thanks and appreciation to Gary Langendorf and his entire family.
