Racine- Sue Ellen (nee: Draves) Wellington, 52, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, September 14, 2006 as the result of a heart attack. Sue was a longtime member of the Salvation Army. She also attended True Life Church. Her family was the number one priority in her life. Sue had a great passion for helping out those in need and will be remembered for her many acts of kindness. Surviving are her loving husband, Robert; cherished sons, Robert Simpson, Brian Simpson, Richard Wellington and William (Cathy Cummings) Wellington; a grandchild, whom will be born on April 10, 2007; dear sisters, Phyllis (Arthur) Cark and Gail (Manuel Guajardo) Draves; adored cousin, Roger Williams; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (James) Tabor, Nancy Louise (Denny) Robins and Carolyn Faye Davis; brothers-in-law, David Wellington and Allen (Evelyn) Wellington; and by many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home, 4600 County Line Rd., on Monday, September 18, 2006 at 1:00 pm with Major Robert L. Edmonds officiating. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 6-8 pm and will continue on Monday from 12 noon – 1 pm. In memory of Sue, memorials may be made to her family. Special note of thanks to Racine Police, Fire, and Medical Examiner for quickly responding to our home on Thursday evening and for the compassionate and sympathetic way they treated our family. God bless all of you!

Testimonials

Jessie Tuttle

Dear Bob,
I just wanted to thank you again for all your help and everything you did for my grandfather’s funeral. Looking back on it, I think Gramps would have been so proud of how everything turned out and it would not have been possible without your help. Your staff is amazing and has allowed us the grieve without worrying about the little details of everything that goes into making the arrangements and planning the services. You helped us honor one of the most amazing men in my life, and it meant so much to me personally and to my family. Thank you for everything.
Take care,
Jessie Tuttle
