
Louise Marie (Case) Hale, 96, died, September 16, 2006, at Hospitality Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Kenosha, Wisconsin. Marie was born November 26, 1909, in Blair, Nebraska, to Samuel and Eva (Marple) Case. Her family farmed in Washington County and in the Divide Center Community in Burt County Nebraska where she attended school and church. She graduated from Oakland High School, and on December 23, 1931, was united in marriage to Earl Wayne Hale at the Divide Center Presbyterian Church. They farmed in Burt County, and later lived and worked in Decatur, Grand Island, and Blair, Nebraska and Upland, California. Marie moved to Kenosha in 1986, following the death of her husband on October 30, 1985. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Blair. Marie was a loving and caring woman and the mainstay of her family. She was a wonderful cook and took great pleasure in creating dishes and desserts for family celebrations and reunions, as well as sampling those prepared by others. She was gifted at sewing and fancywork and made cherished items for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and others. Above all, Marie was a wonderful role model for her family, consistently demonstrating her inner strength, fairness, humility, and selflessness. Survivors include sons Earl Hale (Maxine), Langley, Oklahoma, Donald Hale (Mayra), Rancho Cucamonga, California, daughter Donna Bragg, Kenosha, Wisconsin, grandchildren Wayne Hale, Lancaster, California, Lisa Garcia, Victorville, California, Richard Hale, Navarre, Florida, Amber Thompson, Spavinaw, Oklahoma, Curtis Hale, San Diego, California, Evelyn Hale and Donald Hale, Jr., Rancho Cucamonga, California, Tracey Verkler, Alta Loma, California, Stephanie Hupp, Kenosha, Wisconsin and Jonathan Bragg, Davis, California, and eleven great grandchildren. Other survivors include sister Leatha (Harold) Poland, Arlington, Virginia, brother-in-law Eldon Drummond, Central City, Nebraska, sisters-in-law Margaret Hale, Lyons, Nebraska, and Hazel Christensen, Castle Rock, Colorado, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Gertrude Case, Dorothy Brunton, and Bernice Drummond, brothers Robert, Floyd, and Leland Case and son-in-law, Leon Bragg. Memorial services will be held Campbell-Aman Funeral Home 444 S. 17th Blair, NE, on Friday, September 22nd at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends can meet with the family from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Service. In lieu of flowers, remembrances of Marie may be directed to a charity of one’s choice.
