Carol Ann Friend

Jul 3, 1949 – Sep 16, 2006

Carol Ann Friend, 57, died unexpectedly at St. Mary’s Medical Center on Saturday, September 16, 2006. A lifelong resident of Racine, she was born on July 3, 1949 to Emil and Evelyn (nee: Blish) Thuriot. Carol was a hard working woman. Her employers included, Minnesota Fabrics, McDonald’s on Lathrop Ave. and Ridgewood Healthcare Center. When she wasn’t working she enjoyed all of her free time spoiling her 7 grandchildren. They will all truly miss her. Her survivors include her sons, Chris (fiancée, Angie Felton) Friend, Michael Friend; grandchildren, Matt, Holly, Hailey and Kayla Friend, Zach, Dakota and Michael Cornelius; mother, Evelyn “Peggy” Thuriot; brother, Richard (Mary) Thuriot all of Racine; nephew and niece, Paul Thuriot of San Francisco, Sarah Thuriot of Minneapolis and other dear family members and friends. Her father, Emil, preceded her in death. Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. for a public visitation. A service celebrating and remembering Carol’s life will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, September 21, 2006 at 11:00 am. There will also be a visitation in the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10 until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery.
