Allie B. Hargrove

May 4, 1931 – Dec 9, 2006

Allie Hargrove, 75, died in Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center on Saturday, December 9, 2006. She was born in Ethelsville, AL on April, 1931, the daughter of the late Jeff and Rose (nee: Brooks) Blair. On May 6, 1957, in Columbus, MS, she was united in marriage to Samuel Hargrove. She had been employed by St. Luke’s Hospital for over 18 years, retiring in 1995. Mrs. Hargrove was a member of Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall Sheridan Woods Congregation. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and raising her family and her dogs. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her devoted husband, Samuel; their children, Sam (Rita) Hargrove II of Racine, Aaron Hargrove of Waukegan, IL, Eddie Hargrove of Oshkosh, WI, Charles (Judy) Hargrove of Milwaukee, Lamar Hargrove of Racine, Bennie (Carol) Hargrove of Atlanta, GA; daughter-in-law Melody Hargrove of Racine; 29 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; her sisters, Corrine Fireson of Mt. Clemens, MI, Annie B. Wilkins of Ethelsville, AL, Lula Blair Shelbyville TN, Betty “Ruthie” Blair of Racine; her sister-in-law Lela Blair of Racine. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Lula “Trudy” Blair, her son Leroy Hargrove, her sister Mae (Blair) Hall and by her brothers, Jack, Jessie, Murphy, Ben, Ray and Retha Blair. Her Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 13th, at 5:00 p.m. in the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall Sheridan Woods Congregation, 3309 Kearney Ave. Family and friends are invited to gather there just prior to the service. Private burial services will be in Graceland Cemetery.
