Racine – Terra Lynn Blackwell, 30, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 16, 2006 due to a lengthy battle with Lupus. She was a life-long resident, born on April 13, 1976 to James E. Nelson and Ida Blackwell. Though she endured and persisted to provide and prepare her son for the world, she was able to recognize and live out her purpose given by God to promote compassion, friendship and lovekindness. She also carried the badge of honor of being the family staple after the passing of Mother White. When Terra had free time she enjoyed reading contemporary literature and non-fiction so to have a better understanding of the world around her, to be of better service to her son, herself, and society. She is survived by her beloved son, Mark Caillouet, Jr.; her mother and father, Ida (Joseph) Price of Racine, and James E. Nelson of Chicago, Illinois; brother, Joseph Blackwell of Chicago; aunts and uncles, Betty Blackwell, and W.C. Blackwell both of Milwaukee, Mattie Bolden, Jewel Carothers, Mary McNeese, Rosie Blackwell all of Chicago, Wilma Tunstell of Racine, Sheila Blackwell of Dallas, Texas, and James Blackwell of New Albany, Mississippi; nieces and nephews, Alivia, Brittany, and Tránell; her lifetime mentor, Eddie Campbell, Jr. of Racine; her eternal friend, Terry Walker of Racine; and special sister-friends for life, Lashawn Patterson, Alicia Blanding, and Mykicia Lovelace. She is further survived by a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mother Wilma White and Deacon Oscar White. Homegoing services will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2006 at Searching Together Missionary Baptist Church, 825 21st Street, with Rev. Willie E. Riley officiating. Viewing will be in the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park immediately following the service.
