Diane Mary Harris

Feb 17, 1953 – Dec 31, 2006

Pico Rivera, CA – Diane Mary (nee: Markielewski) Harris, 53, formerly of Racine, passed away in Pico Rivera, CA on Sunday, December 31, 2006 following a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Diane was born on February 17, 1953 to Jerome S. and Jean A. Markielewski. A 1971 graduate of William Horlick High School, she has been employed for the past 22 years at UCLA Healthcare in California as a Hospital Assistant Supervisor in central service / receiving. Diane was president of her residence homeowners’ association. Surviving are her mother, Jean Markielewski of Racine; father, Jerome Markielewski of Oakfield; her loving companion of over 10 years, Steven Beatty; Steven’s daughters, Miranda and Stephanie of California; sisters, Sharon Molina, Debra Gonzales and Linda Markielewski, all of Racine; Barbara (Randy) Weber of Leroy, MN; brother, Thomas (Valerie) Markielewski of Oakfield; step-brothers, William (Jeanine) Critchley of Madison; Steve (Marian) Critchley of Fond du Lac; and Randy (Debi) Critchley of Waupun; beloved pets, Binky, Princess and Midnight; many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. Diane was preceded in death by her grandparents, Stanley and Ann Markielewski, Willard Anderson and Bernice Paschen; step-mother, Marilyn Markielewski; brother-in-law, Paul Molina Jr.; cousins, Barry and Bruce Markielewski; special companion, Gregory Deramus; and by her cat, Sassy. Funeral services will be held in Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 322 Ohio St., on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 11 am with Rev. James Barsch officiating. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 pm and in the church on Monday from 10-11 am.

    I will miss Diane everyday for the rest of my life. She was the most giving, loving and caring person I know. I was so Blessed to have her as one of my most cherished friends. We lived across country from each other and yet we were so close. I knew her for 34yrs. I pray God comforts and gives your family peace.
