
Mrs. Adele Rubin, 90, died at Sterling House (3109 12th St in Kenosha) on Sunday, February 4, 2007. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada on February 15, 1916 to the late Max and Rebecca (nee: Cohen) Arber. In 1946, she met Robert Frank Rubin in New York City. They married in Winnipeg on March 29, 1947. After their marriage, they lived in New York City, New Jersey, Delaware and Indiana, finally settling in Racine in 1962. Mr. Rubin preceded her in death on September 11, 1988. Enjoying the simple things in life, Mrs. Rubin gardened, baked, and cherished the times spent with her family. She valued hard work, her independence and was a generous, caring woman. Mrs. Rubin belonged to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Her survivors include her children, Kenneth (Linda) Rubin of Racine, Maxine Booth of Jamestown, TN, Linda (Michael) Sader of West Allis; eight grandchildren, Lori Griffin of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Heidi (James) McEneany of Plainfield, IL, Bryan (Ann) Rubin, Geoffrey Rubin both of Racine, Christopher Booth of San Diego, CA, James Booth of Madison, DeAnn Sader, Maxwell Sader both of West Allis; eight great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her grandson, Andrew Booth; brothers, Jake, Soloman, Bill, Art and Philip Arber and sister, Gertie Normand also preceded her. Family and friends are invited to meet at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday evening from 5:30 –7:30 p.m. for a public visitation with a eulogy service to be held at 7:30 p.m. A private burial will take place in the Racine Jewish Cemetery. Memorials have been suggested to the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints Cancer Center and the American Cancer Society. Many heartfelt thanks to all that provided Adele with loving and professional care; especially, Asera Care Hospice, Sterling House as well as Dr.’s Odders, Bloom , Zaworski and Sethi.
