She was born on the north side of Chicago, on November 2, 1918, the daughter of the late Walter and Sophie (nee: Korczyk) Zaremba. Mrs. Ayres loved to travel. She had a trailer and moved all over the country, from California to Las Vegas, to Florida, to North Carolina, to Mississippi, to Kentucky, but always considered the Midwest home. She also enjoyed crocheting and playing slot machines. Her greatest love was for her family. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Marjorie and Bob Pluskota of Racine; her grandchildren, John R. Pluskota of Melbourne, FL, Michelle and Steve Feilen of Steger, IL, Michael Pluskota of Las Vegas, NV, and Tammie Pluskota of Marion, KY; her great grandchildren, Jarod and Caleb Feilen, Nick Parker, Joe, Jenna, and Shauna Pluskota. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Cornell Ayers in 1972, grandson Robert Pluskota Jr. and by all of her brothers and sisters. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, February 16th, at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Jeffrey M. Thielen officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Private burial will take place on Monday in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, IL.

I love you Gagama — and miss you already. God blessed me with you for so long, I can’t imagine life without you. You will live in my heart always, as will my brother. Please be at peace knowing how much God’s most precious angel impacted so many.

    Love,
    Your Granddaughter, Michelle

I lost my parents withing two years of each other and Mike and his staff not only took very good care of my parents but the family. It is very obvious that they take their jobs very seriously. I don\’t know how they do it but thank God for people like them. Thanks for everything! Mike thank you! You made this easier for me. Remember me and mother was like a married couple!
