Karen J. Locke

Aug 23, 1951 – Apr 2, 2007

Karen J. Locke, 55, died unexpectedly at her place of work (Roeschen’s Omni Healthcare of Milwaukee) on Monday, April 2, 2007. She was born in Dodgeville, WI on August 23, 1951 to Dale and Margaret (nee: Schulz) Anderson. She graduated from Lutheran High School. Karen married Kenneth Locke on August 8, 1970. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1996. Karen enjoyed spending her time in the surroundings of her family. She especially treasured taking her grandchildren to her second home in Adams, WI. Karen also loved traveling with her dear friends, Barb and John, as well as working on various crafts which included sewing and quilting. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Smith of Racine. Karen was the mother of two loving children. Her dear son, Brian K. Locke preceded her in death on October 1, 2005. Her daughter, Cindy (Robert) Eichhorn of Racine survives her as well as her grandchildren, Dylan, Kaitlynn, Morgan and Mason. Also surviving are her brother, Jerry Anderson; sister, Linda Glass both of Racine; special friends, Barb and John Dohner of Janesville; Bill Schlacter, Stacey Beth and Sandy (Todd) Petersen all of Racine; nieces, nephews and many dear friends. In addition to her husband and son, Karen was preceded in death by fathers, Dale Anderson and Lee Smith and by her nephew, Eric Glass. Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. for the celebration of Karen’s Life with Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Samuelson officiating. There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9-10 a.m. Burial will follow the service at West Lawn Memorial Park.
