
Racine- Eliphalet R. “Buck” Gordon, 66, passed away unexpectedly in Racine on Monday, April 9, 2007. He was born in LaCrosse, WI on June 5, 1940, the son of Eliphalet M. Gordon and Genevieve Wells. On July 16, 1960 in LaCrosse, he was united in marriage to Dorothy (nee: Schultz) Gordon. Buck graduated from Logan High School in 1959. Buck had been employed at Racine Steel Castings in Racine for over 29 years, and Harris Metals for 4 years. For over 35 years, he was a foster father to over 150 children, three of which he adopted. He loved fishing, singing Karaoke – especially impersonating Elvis, dancing, collecting, rummaging and old cars. He will be sadly missed by his wife, family and friends. Surviving are his wife of over 47 years, Dottie; sons, Dennis (Jeana) Gordon of Goochland, VA; Michael (age 15) Gordon and Eugene (age 8) Gordon, both of Racine; daughters, Patricia (Joe) Peasley of New Lisbon; Alicia (Brian) Berger and Sherri Gordon (age 12) Gordon, both of Racine; grandchildren, Russell, Dustin and Brittany Peasley; Andrew, Andrea and Bradley Berger; Jimmy and Buddy Anthony; Eric and Erica Gordon; and Alexis Spinato; brother, John Gordon; sisters, Alaurel Gordon, Lillian (Jerry) Cleveland, and Darlene Bloomentritt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Buck was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Spinato; granddaughter, Jessica Spinato; sister, Mary Jane Gordon; mother, Genevieve Shirley; and father, Eliphalet M. Gordon. Funeral services for Buck will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 7:00 pm. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for the continued support and education of Buck’s three minor children.

Came back to tell you again that I will see in later. Not good-bye because there is no good-byes but see you later. You looked great at the funeral service. Smiling, mic in hand ready to sing a song for all of us. I’m sure it would be a song in which in your own way was telling us you love us. Mom is being strong as a rock, I’m so proud of her !!!
