
Loren (Larry) H. Cain, 75, died peacefully at his daughter’s home, with his family at his side, on Thursday, October 4, 2007. He was born in LaCrosse, WI on May 4, 1932, the son of the late Hilbert and Juanita (nee: Russell) Cain. On March 24, 1961, he was united in marriage to the former Ok Pun Lee. Mr. Cain served with the U.S. Army for over 21 years and retired as Specialist SSG/E6 in 1970. While in the Army he received many medals and awards particularly Sharpshooter. He was also employed for over 20 years and retired by Schultz Sav-u in 1991. He also owned and operated Cain Detective Agency Inc. for 15 Years, until his retirement in March of 2007. He received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from UW Parkside, graduating in 1976. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, enjoyed greyhound racing and found his passion working on our family tree but the thing he loved most was spending time with his family and rekindling the memories of his past. Surviving are his beloved wife, Ok Pun, of Cedar Grove; their children, Mike Cain, James (Tiffany) Cain, Mark (Marnie Hoffman) Cain all of Racine, Dawn (Bill) Friend of Cedar Grove, and Lee (Jim) Bacon of Sturtevant; his grandchildren, whom he dearly loved; Devin, Lainie, Ashley, Dylon, Samantha, Cody, Taner, Brandon and Terah; brothers and sister, Ronald Cain of Union Grove, Darold (Nancy) Cain of Wisconsin Rapids, Frances (Israel) Patino of Spring, TX, Norm (Myong) Cain of Racine special friends ReNell and Justin Roland, Al Jenner, and Skip Johnson. Numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends and clients too numerous to mention by name. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Russell “Bud” Cain. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Lopez, Nancy and Dr. Palm, Vickie, of WFH-All Saints, along with their staff for the passionate care and services that they provided for Larry. The family would also like to thank Larry’s Son Mike and Son-in-Law Bill for the extreme amount of care that they provided to Dad up to the last moment of his life. His funeral service will be held, in the funeral home, on Tuesday, October 9th at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be in the funeral on Monday, October 8th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove. .
