Lisa Ruth Maurer

Nov 16, 1965 – Nov 6, 2007

Lisa Ruth Maurer, 41, was given eternal life on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, with her husband and family at her side. She was born in Racine on November 16, 1965, the daughter of Robert J. and Patricia R. (nee: Aneloski) Eaton. On February 17, 1990, in Calvary Memorial Church, she was united in marriage to Kurt Maurer. Lisa graduated from UWM with a degree in marketing and finance. She was a very active member of Calvary Memorial Church, teaching Sunday School and the AWANA Guards. Lisa was a soccer coach, active with the Cub Scouts in Union Grove, a playwright, director and producer. She directed many church productions for the Easter and Christmas dramas. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband, Kurt; their children, of whom she was so very proud, Cassandra, Kyle, Clayton, and Kayla Mae; her parents Robert and Patricia Eaton of Racine; her sisters, Kelli (William) O’Neal of Grafton, WI, Jodie (Jerrod) Bochinski, mother-in-law and father-in-law Lois and John Anderson all of Racine: grandparents, George and Ginny Aneloski of Lampe, MO, and Eleanor Eaton of Fontana, WI. Her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, church family, and a host of friends further survive Lisa. Her father-in-law Richard Maurer and grandfather John W. “Jack” Eaton preceded Lisa in death. The celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 12th, in Calvary Memorial Church, 4001 Washington Ave., with Rev. Nathan James and Dr. Forrest Williams officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the McPherson Cemetery in Raymond. In lieu of flowers memorials have been suggested to the Family Fund for the Maurer Children at Racine Educators Credit Union.

“Think of stepping on the shore and finding it heaven, of touching a hand and finding it God’s, of breathing new air and finding it celestial, of waking up in glory and finding it home.” – Don Wyrtzen

Yes, we will miss her. But, I can picture her walking hand and hand with God and having that smile on her face. What a joy it is to know we will see her again.

    Kurt & family:
I was so saddened to read of Lisa’s passing. I worked with her many years ago at Yuppie Gourmet. She was always the one who could cheer you up on the (many)frustrating days we had there. I remember when Lisa & Kurt were married — I never saw a happier bride!
Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Special thanks to Mike Langendorf….many tears of joy overwhelm the family. You are a very unique person.  I cry because you know how to make the best out of any situation. You lay my husband away beautifully and there are not words that I can really express how grateful I am. All the people at your funeral have my gratitude for the love and care you showed us.   You all are truly God fearing people who care about people.  Thanks and may God bless you all richly!   The Coleman’s
