
Mary A. Tenort, 91, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 10, 2007. She was born in Enterprise, MS on Feb. 18, 1916, the daughter of the late Dennis and Allie (nee: Melton) Buckley. Surviving are her children, Doris (Jesse Bland) Bogan, Willie B. (Kim) Tenort, Daisy Mae Bogan, Oscar Lee Tenort, Charlean (Lacey Charles) King, Ernest (Garnette Betts) Tenort, and Azlean (Willie) Flora all of Racine, 25 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, 12 great great-grandchildren, brother-in-law George Gray of Biloxi, MS, aunt, Idelle “Book” Marsh of Racine. Her nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends further survive her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Willie Cedars Tenort, her son Eddie Howard Tenort, and her son-in-law Oscar Bogan. Her Homegoing Service will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, November 15th, in St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 11th and Center, with Bishop L.L. Kirby officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and in the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Service. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.
