Roger Lanier Walker

May 9, 1945 – Feb 19, 2008

Racine- Roger Lanier Walker, 61, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 19, 2008. Roger was born in Cowen, TN on May 9, 1945. He faithfully served our Country with the United States Marine Corps. in the Vietnam War. Roger had been employed by American Motors and by the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Medical Center. On April 27, 1974 in Kenosha, Roger was united in marriage to Regina Lynn Harris. To this union, three cherished sons were born. Among his interests, Roger liked to fish and shop. He had an extensive collection of fashionable suits, hats and shoes. Surviving are his wife, Regina; their sons, Jeremy (Marge Frazier) Walker, Roger Jr. “Mike” Walker and Stephen Walker; brothers, Marvin (Annabell Platt) Walker and Wayman (Doris) Walker; sisters, Deta Mae (Bob) Gant, Dixie E. Rowe and Jackie Walker; brother-in-law, Craig (Barbara) Grimes; and by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. Roger was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Walker. In honor of Roger’s dedicated service for our Country, committal funeral services will be held in the chapel of S. WI Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street in Union Grove, on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 9:00 am.
