Racine – Betty Davis Sutton, 55, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 27, 2008. She was born in Scott City, Missouri on November 24, 1952, daughter of the late James and Bertha (nee: Mathias) Davis. She had been a Racine resident since 1980. She is survived by her children and their families, Collette Davis of Racine, James Davis of Elkhart, Indiana, Lenora (fiancé Antovia Booker) Davis of Racine, Ray Swink, Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri, and Nakina (fiancé Omar Young) Davis of Racine. She is further survived by her brothers, Alonzo (Linda) Davis of New Madrid, Missouri, and Robert Lee (Stephanie) Mathias of Kansas City, Missouri; and dearest friend Alice Jackson of Racine; and her former husband, Gary Sutton of Decatur, Illinois. She was also preceded by her brothers, Paul Davis and Will Davis; sister, Pearl Green; and sister-in-law, Essie Davis. Homegoing services will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 with Rev. Charlene B. Mills officiating. Cemetery services will be private. Visitation and viewing be in the funeral home from 1-2 p.m.
