Felix Perry

vet
Jan 12, 1934 – Mar 1, 2010

RACINE – Felix Perry, 76, passed away at WFH All Saints Hospital on Monday, March 1, 2010. He was born on January 12, 1934, son of the late Mack and Sarah (nee: Cotton) Perry. He was raised in Macon, Miss., but spent most of his life in Racine, where he graduated from Park High School. On July 12, 1976, he was united in marriage to Virginia Williford. Felix was a proud veteran, having served in the Army during the Korean War. Felix was a Supervisor at Printing Development Incorporated when he retired in 1997 after working over 40 years. He loved to work, and his work ethic was second to none, having never missed a scheduled day and even working extra shifts whenever asked. Felix enjoyed fishing, NFL football, and the Badgers, and was well- known for his mastery of BBQ ribs. He also liked to watch all sorts of TV programs and read every bit of any newspaper and traveling. Above all though, was his love for his wife, family, and friends. Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Virginia Perry; his children, Felix Fidel (Ann) Perry, Nikita (David) Young, Timmy (Melissa) Churchwell, Jessie Perry, Keewana Perry, Willard Perez Perry, and Michael Churchwell; 28 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchil- dren; brothers and sisters, John (Mildred) Perry, Rufus (Levora) Perry, Rev. Billy (Della) Perry, Robert (Lorraine) Perry, Virginia Perry, and Annabell (James) Kirkwood; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cleveland and Mary Cornelious, Fulton Bell, Lennon and Myrtle Williford, Sammie Williford, Lennie Williford, John Wayne Williford, Marvin Williford, Rev. Thomas and Shawna Williford, Don Cornelious, Clemmie and James Winston, Carrie Bell, and Rebecca Black; uncle, Ellis (Dorothy) Cotton; aunts, Edna Bell Harman and Jonnie Perry; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was also preceded on death by his daughters, Margaret Gibson and Patricia Bell; and his son, Maurice Perry. Homegoing services will be held at the Wayman AME Church at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010, with Rev. Charlene Mills officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin in the church at 9 a.m. on Monday.

Special thanks to Mike Langendorf….many tears of joy overwhelm the family. You are a very unique person.  I cry because you know how to make the best out of any situation. You lay my husband away beautifully and there are not words that I can really express how grateful I am. All the people at your funeral have my gratitude for the love and care you showed us.   You all are truly God fearing people who care about people.  Thanks and may God bless you all richly!   The Coleman’s
